These terms govern your use of kabookids.co.za and every order you place with us. Please read them — by placing an order you agree to them.
1. Who you are contracting with
This website is owned and operated by Beehop (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/612977/07), a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, trading as Kaboo Kids, of Unit 21 Old Mill Park, 15 Sucrose Crescent, Mount Edgecombe, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, 4032 (“we”, “us”, “Kaboo Kids”). Our full statutory details appear on our Contact page.
2. Placing an order
- Product listings are an invitation to do business, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy.
- A sale is concluded only once we have received payment in full and sent you an order confirmation.
- You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
- Please give us accurate contact and delivery details. We are not responsible for a failed delivery caused by an incorrect address.
3. Prices
- All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include all applicable taxes.
- Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Where a product shows a crossed-out price next to a lower price, the crossed-out price is the recommended retail price and the lower price is what you pay.
- Promotional prices apply only while the promotion runs or while stock lasts.
4. Pricing and stock errors
We take care to keep prices, descriptions, images and stock levels accurate, but mistakes happen. In line with section 23(9) of the Consumer Protection Act, we are not bound by an obvious and unintentional error in a displayed price. If we discover such an error, or an item turns out to be out of stock, we will contact you and you may either confirm the order at the corrected price or cancel it for a full refund. Product photographs are illustrative; colours may vary slightly.
5. Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider over a secure, encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card details. We may cancel and refund an order if a payment is reversed, disputed or flagged as fraudulent.
6. Delivery, returns and cancellation
Delivery costs and timeframes are set out in Shipping & Delivery. Your 7-day cooling-off right under section 44 of ECTA, and your rights in respect of defective goods under sections 55 and 56 of the CPA, are set out in Returns & Refunds. Both documents form part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
7. Safety and supervision
Our products are children’s toys. Please observe the age guidance on each listing and its packaging — many toys contain small parts that are a choking hazard for children under three. Toys must be used under appropriate adult supervision and only for their intended purpose. Please check toys regularly for wear and remove any item that has broken or splintered.
8. Your personal information
We process your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. See our Privacy Policy.
9. Our content
The Kaboo Kids name and logo, and the text, photographs and design of this site, belong to us or our suppliers and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
10. Liability
We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including our obligations under the Consumer Protection Act. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We do not warrant that this website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Please email hello@kabookids.co.za first — most problems are quicker to fix directly. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may refer it to the National Consumer Commission or an accredited consumer ombud, or to a South African court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms deprives you of any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
