Closed, it is a cheerful blue dinosaur. Open the head and it becomes a full doctor’s station — stethoscope, thermometer, syringes, dental tools, plasters and a monitor that a three-year-old will take extremely seriously.

The carry-handle shape means it packs itself away, which is the difference between a set that gets used and a set that ends up in four different rooms.

What it builds

Role play is where children rehearse the things that worry them, and a visit to the doctor is high on that list. Playing the one holding the stethoscope is genuinely useful preparation for being the one on the table.
